Het enige social media account dat ik had was Facebook. Het heeft me nooit geïnteresseerd, maar voor de dieren ben ik er destijds alsnog actief gebruik van gaan maken. Toch heb ik mijn profiel vandaag gedeactiveerd, een dag na mijn laatste post:

Lieve mensen,

een tijdje was ik op Facebook voor de dieren. Maar ik vroeg me af of social media/digitalisering het ooit beter heeft gemaakt voor ze.

FB is een globalistische multinational met heel andere intenties op de agenda dan bevrijding. Het is een (van vele) middelen tot steeds verdergaande controle. Dit neemt ingrijpende consequenties voor ons allemaal mee. Ook voor de dieren.

We staan voor ‘human liberation, animal liberation’. Maar ondertussen hangen we allemaal met deze waarden op een platform dat ons hier juist van berooft.

Het doel heiligt vaak de middelen. Maar niet in dit geval; niet indien de middelen het doel in de weg staan.

We zijn geneigd te denken dat social media nodig zijn om elkaar te bereiken. Maar nog niet zo lang geleden was er geen Facebook /Insta etc. en wisten we elkaar prima te vinden. In grotere getale, met meer realiteitsbesef en solidariteit.

De regels op Facebook worden bepaald door Facebook. Ik leef volgens mijn eigen regels. En ik weet: van daaruit is alles mogelijk. Dus het is tijd voor mij om te vertrekken hier.

Ik wens iedereen het allerbeste. Dat iedereen zijn of haar ware potentie mag bereiken, zonder verleiding van online tijdverspilling. We komen elkaar vast wel weer tegen. Dank voor de vriendschap en support.

06-21-24 I'm quitting social media (for a while)

The only social media account I had was Facebook. It has never interested me, but I started actively using it for the animals. Still, I deactivated my profile today, a day after my last post:

Dear all,

for a while I was on Facebook for the animals. But I wondered if social media/digitalization ever made things better for them.

FB is a globalist multinational with very different intentions on the agenda than liberation. It is one (of many) means of ever-increasing control. This has far-reaching consequences for all of us. Also for the animals.

We stand for 'human liberation, animal liberation'. But in the meantime, we all hang these values ​​on a platform that robs us of them.

The end often justifies the means. But not in this case; not if the means get in the way of the end.

We tend to think that social media is necessary to reach each other. But not so long ago there was no Facebook / Insta etc. and we knew how to find each other very well. In larger numbers, with more awareness of reality and solidarity.

The rules on Facebook are determined by Facebook. I live by my own rules. And I know: from there everything is possible. So it's time for me to leave.

I wish everyone the very best. May everyone reach their true potential, without the temptation of wasting time online. We'll probably meet again. Thanks for the friendship and support.
